A few people on my blog have asked me what times Morrisons reduce the food. I can only say for sure about my Morrisons which is open until 9pm Mon-Sat and 4pm Sun. Reducing normally takes place between 6.45pm and 8pm Mon-Sat and on a Sunday it’s between 3pm and 4pm. So as a rule of thumb I would say about and hour or two before the store shuts.

no matter when in our store the reductions are garbage. constantly see them reduced for say the buy 2 for say £4 are cheaper than buy 2 reduced. knock off approx 20% in our store, even 15 mins before closing the reductions are never any bigger than that. think I will need to move area. I one when we were on holiday had some fab bargains, but of course I had no freezer to take advantage of it.
Hi Elaine, Have you tried M&S for reductions? There is an excellent post on here by Jo Marie on reducing times at M&S (have a look under “please pass on any bargain hunting tips”).
Oops, I have been neglecting my duties, sorry, been strange but wonderful few days here shall have to tell you MY VERY BIG SECRET soon! 🙂
Mibs I can’t wait that long! PM’ed you LOL
We don’t yet have a Morrisons where I live,so have to go to some of the other Supermarkets for my knock down bargains,(when there are any to be had, that is.)
I usually go down to our local Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores about 2.30pm on a Sunday, which is when they start sorting the bargains.
Today,I got a couple of lettuce for just 12 pence each from Tesco, reduced from 50 pence each.
I also picked up a few other reduced salad items from both Sainsbury and Tesco on my jaunt round the store and a large french bread stick.
It is half term this week,so,with quick picnic meals in mind for days out, these items will make some tasty lunches for us.
Excellent bwprint great bargains 🙂 I love french stick with cheese and salad stuffed inside. As you said ideal if you are out and about for half term! Saves a packet on buying sandwiches (which to be honest are not only over priced but are often not very nice).
